Villa Snäcksund

Villa Snäcksund is located in the wonderful nature park Hagen, a stones throw away from the town centre. The house is surrounded by a thriving grove forest on a hill next to the sea.

Pro Artibus has two apartments in Villa Snäcksund. They are primarily rented to active Swedish-speaking Finnish artists. The Foundation for Swedish Culture in Finland grant three year scholarships for residing in Villa Snäcksund. The Pro Artibus board select the artists. Currently residing in the house are artists Petra Lindholm and Kim Simonsson.

In the autumn of 2003 Pro Artibus commissioned a new studio building by the shore. The building has two well equipped artists studios on the upper floor, and meeting, sauna, and storage facilities on the ground floor. The foundation rents out the meeting and sauna facilities per hour charge.
